President Trump decides to meet Russia’s Lavrov at the White House

When Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov last time visited the White House, President Trump had just discharged James Comey, his then FBI director. At the time, Trump boasted it would dispel pressure related to an investigation into whether his campaign had binding to Moscow. But instead, it had the converse effect, winding the political flames over his Russia policy. Two-and-a-half years later, Lavrov is prepared to return on Tuesday, and Trump’s Russia policy is still very much in the limelight.
