Apple Launches Smart Battery Cases For iPhone 11 Series, Cases Deliver Up To 50 Percent Longer Battery Life

November 27, 2019 by arya Riley Leave a Comment

Apple has announced the launch of smart battery cases for its iPhone 11 series. The new smart battery cases are available in white, black and sand colors for iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The Cupertino tech giant introduced only white and black color smart battery cases for the iPhone 11 model. In the United States, the third generation of smart battery cases is available at USD 129. The cases are designed by Apple to offer protection to its smartphones and give a longer battery life. As the name suggests, the smart battery case is a case with an integrated battery. It charges the iPhone until the battery is fully drained. After the battery in the case is drained, the phone switches to its internal battery.

The launch comes two months after Apple launched its next-generation iPhones. Barring the square-shaped camera module, the newly launched smart battery cases look similar to last year’s iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max smartphones. Apart from design and colors, the new smart battery cases are similar to their predecessors in other terms as well. They support for wireless charging. Users can also charge the iPhone and battery cases simultaneously. The company said that a soft microfiber lining inside smart battery cases gives protection to the iPhone. The silky exterior and soft-touch finish make users feel great in hand.

The new cases also feature a dedicated button to launch the camera app. The button works even when iPhone is locked. Quickly pressing the button clicks a photo. When it is pressed for a longer period, it captures the QuickTake video. It works for selfies as well. The new cases can be charged even faster with USB-PD-compatible chargers. According to the company’s claim, the newly launched smart battery cases deliver up to 50 percent longer battery life. It said that battery status is displayed on the iPhone Lock screen and also in the Notification Center. The company said it also supports Lightning accessories.
