TOKYO (Reuters) – Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda on Thursday warned that consumption is stagnating at “low levels” with the outlook heavily reliant on developments regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The timing and pace of recovery in consumption remains highly uncertain,” Kuroda said in a speech delivered at an online annual meeting of the securities industry.
