Verizon Customers Can Pre-Order Motorola Razr for $1,499

January 28, 2020 by Talkherald Leave a Comment

Motorola unveiled its Raze-branded foldable phone last year in November. After months of rumors and leaks, the phone is available for pre-order for $1499 on Verizon. Unlike other phone makers, Motorola is offering heads up to potential buyers. Recently, the company has rolled out a couple of promotional videos notifying the latest Razr’s features. A line of videos posted on Motorola’s YouTube Channel includes some short ads and guidelines for handling the folding phone. The company said, originally, it would start shipping the smartphone on 6th February 2020. But it seems like the phone is already propped up to 14th February on Verizon.

Meanwhile, Motorola is warning customers not to worry if they notice bumps and lumps on their phone screen. The company indeed is taking the cautious step to notify the public that, bumps and lumps are regular on foldable screens. The phone maker has engineered Razr’s panel in such a way that it can bend. But currently, Motorola has not actually solved the issue across the adverse properties of foldable screens. Still, the company seems to be glad revealing everything regarding the Razr. Motorola’s latest foldable phone includes a Snapdragon 710 processor and slightly insufficient average-range specs. The company also touts that Razr comprises a 2,510 mAh battery that lasts the entire day and charges swiftly.

Present-day foldable phones do not have glass; they are made up of plastic screens. Thus the screens are not ultimate, and such devices are more at risk of damage. Notably, incidents like poolside splash or sidewalk drop might impair the phone. Whereas Motorola said, Razr’s plastic display comprises of a hard coat that forms a stronger display. Well, not only Motorola, other phone makers like Samsung, Huawei, have faced the inconvenience when it comes to flexible screens. Thus, it is not easy to lead a new, sophisticated phone design. Besides, the sector requires time to figure out things from early errors.
