Kellogg’s Accepts Requests Of Customers To Bring Back Its Crunchy Cereal Straws

March 24, 2021 by Jennifer Preston Leave a Comment

After a hiatus of almost 12 years, Kellogg’s is bringing back its popular Cereal Straws. Announcing the return, the company said that the decision has been taken over social media pleas and petitions by superfans. This is because of the 4 years old petition created by Hannah Wade on Change.org. The food giant’s move to bring back Cereal Straws is definitely once again going to make your drink even more fun. The company is initially testing two flavors to bring back the nostalgia-inducing Cereal Straws. The two flavors are Kellogg’s Cocoa Krispies and Kellogg’s Froot Loop. The company had discontinued Froot Loops Cereal Straws in 2009.

Wade said in the description of the petition that people around the world are nostalgic about the delicious treat from Kellogg’s. “There are many who are desperately waiting for the return of Cereal Straws. The move will bring joy to not only my generation but also generations to come,” Wade said. The petition has been signed by more than 81,000. The number is more than enough to grab the attention of the company. The company said that Cereal Straws will be available in the market starting October. The company has suggested a price of USD 1 for five Cereal Straws, USD 3 for 18 straws, and USD 5 for 25 straws.

Meanwhile, Kellogg’s has decided to invest USD 39.7 million into revamping its Pringles plant in Belgium. The investment will is being made to make production more sustainable. There are seven manufacturing facilities of Pringles around the world. The Mechelen facility in Europe ships potato chips to more than 40 countries. The amount will be used to purchase new equipment and up-gradation of the production. The snack producer said that new measures will be put in place to make the plant more sustainable. Earlier in 2019, the company invested Euro 110 million to extend the plant in Kutno, Poland. The company said that it was necessary to keep up with the growing demand for the potato chip snack.
