The company said that the feature is aimed at paving a way for users to link their payment profiles. Besides, it will be making it easier for users to drive the conversation on the platform. It will support a creator, help users in raising funds, tip someone in need, and thank someone. Twitter had in May first introduced the feature. Reports were suggesting that the company is planning to add an option to allow users to make a direct payment.

The launch of Tips follows the introduction of Ticketed Spaces on Android. Twitter launched Ticketed Spaces to allow the hosts to monetize their accounts. Hosts have been given the ability to create Ticketed Spaces. The feature is aimed at rewarding the hosts for the experiences. Hosts can decide the ticket prices. They can also decide the number of tickets that can be up for sale. Twitter said that it will let the hosts keep the majority of the revenue generated from the sales.
