In Loving Memory of the Revolutionary Samsung Galaxy Note

December 19, 2021 by Eddie Worrell Leave a Comment

Samsung Electronics created and manufactured the Samsung Galaxy Note line of high-end Android phablets as well as phones, way back in 2011. The Galaxy Note range is largely geared around stylus productivity; all versions come with a stylus pencil and a pressure-sensitive Wacom digitizer. Most Galaxy Note models also contain software capabilities geared around the pen and the huge display of these smart devices, like a memo, digital scrapbook applications, text boxes, as well as split-screen functionality. The series was Samsung’s flagship smartphone model, sitting above the Galaxy S range.

The Galaxy Note mobile phones are widely regarded as the first widely accepted version of “phablets”—a type of device with a big screen that combines the capabilities of standard tablets with that of a smartphone. From September 2011 to October 2013, Samsung delivered over 50 million Galaxy Note handsets. The Galaxy Note 3 sold 10 million copies in its first two months, the Note II reached 30 million units, and the first Galaxy Note sold roughly 10 million units globally.

Samsung however, is allegedly intending to discontinue the manufacture of the Galaxy Note 20 and therefore has no intentions of releasing a 2022 Galaxy Note. Samsung will also reportedly discontinue the manufacture of the Galaxy Note 20 range by the end of 2021. As of today, manufacturing of the Galaxy Note 20 has resumed since the handset is still selling, according to 9To5Google. According to the source, Samsung is introducing the Note experience to the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the spiritual heir to the Note20 Ultra. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, the most latest version of the speculated future flagship smartphone line, will have the brightest screen Samsung has ever produced.

The present Galaxy S21 Ultra has a peak brightness of 1500 nits, as well as the S22 Ultra is expected to exceed this figure. The new series will go into major production next month. The phones in this range are expected to be available in stores at the beginning of January 2022, with all versions being equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 CPU. In terms of features, the future series might include a new 10MP telephoto lens with 3x magnification capability, rather than a high-resolution camera with limited optical zoom. Samsung intends to take a different route with the Galaxy S22/S22+ models, which will be released early next year.
